This traditional armchair with a characteristic fan filling the backrest is very similar to a model No. 24. The main differences are in a seat size and overall height which is bigger in the No.25. It can be supplied in plywood or upholstered with/without decorative studs.

Michael Thonet (1796-1871), born in Germany, was a designer specialising in ‘bentwood'. Thonet and his sons set up a bentwood furniture factory in Bystřice pod Hostýnem in 1861.  In 1876, Chair No. 18 - one of the first models which was produced here and is still a part of our portfolio today.
