Design pioneer Oiva Toikka’s iconic collection of Iittala glass birds took flight in 1972. Combining Toikka’s passion for nature and blown glass art, each bird is truly a one of a kind art object. Handcrafted and mouthblown at the Iittala Glass Factory, the collection embodies a rich fusion of glassmaking traditions and Toikka’s partnership with his team of master craftsmen. Birds by Toikka Whip-Poor-Will features a long, thin beak and a short tail. The dark green stripes that wrap around his sleek shape are meant to resemble the camouflage plumage of the real whip-poor-will but this striking bird can’t help standing out.
Dimension: 115 x 55 mm
