Among Danish furniture designers, Hans J. Wegner is considered one of the most creative, innovative and prolific. Often referred to as the master of the chair, Wegner created almost 500 chairs in his lifetime – many of them considered masterpieces. He is probably best known for his iconic Wishbone Chair which has been in continuous production since 1950. The core of Wegner’s legacy is his focus on bringing the inner workings – the soul – of the furniture to the exterior, where the simplicity and functionality can be appreciated.

Hans J. Wegner’s CH417 Tray Table combines two simple parts – a reversible round tray and a collapsible stainless steel base – into a smart and easy-to-store solution that is both simple and practical. The light tray has a natural colored oak rim which is available in a version with black laminate on one side and white on the other side or with light veneer on either side. The tray’s rim is made of shaped veneer in light oak. In addition to encasing the tray, this narrow piece acts as a handle, as a groove in the tray, making it easier to hold the tray when being carried.
